You may be able to participate in a research study to better understand how stress, sleep, and activity might impact caregivers’ mood and brain health. To examine these patterns, participants may be assigned to receive one of two evidence-based programs that are designed to support caregivers.
What you’ll do
Many of the activities in this study can be completed from the comfort of your own home, but you will be asked to attend up to 2 office visits. In this study, participants answer questions about health, sleep and mood. undergo brain scans (MRI). wear a wrist-watch like device that measures activity may be assigned to receive one of two evidence-based programs that are designed to support caregivers
Who the researchers are looking for
Are you 55+ and currently providing unpaid care to a loved one with a dementia diagnosis? You may be able to participate in a research study to better understand how stress, sleep, and activity might impact caregivers’ mood and brain health. To examine these patterns, participants may be assigned to receive one of two evidence-based programs that are designed to support caregivers.

Are you African American and 55 or older? You may be eligible for a research study to learn more about how cardiovascular disease, sleep functions, and changes in the brain interact to cause changes in memory and thinking. Participation includes undergoing neuropsychological, sleep and cardiovascular assessments, brain imaging and collection of blood samples.
Do you have Down syndrome? You may be able to participate in a study to identify those things that can predict which adults with Down syndrome are most likely to develop Alzheimer’s disease. Eligible participants must have a “study partner” who knows them well and is willing to provide information about their medical status and abilities. Compensation is provided.
Are you 50 years of age or older? You may be able to participate in a brain imaging study. We want to look at how your environment changes the way your brain works as you age.
