Are you an 18-year-old adult male who has had a mild orthopedic injury within the past 11 days (includes leg/arm injuries and/or other body injuries such as sprains and strains that do not require hospitalization or surgical interventions)? You may be eligible for a research study to improve understanding of how the brain recovers after a concussion in adolescents. Compensation is provided.
If you are found to be eligible, there will be 4 visits over the course of 6 months. MRI The MRI visit is the longest (about 2 hours). It will consist of a 1-hour MRI scan. During that visit, you will be asked to complete surveys regarding your symptoms, moods, and behaviors. Follow up at 4 weeks, 3 months* and 6 months The follow-up visits will be fully remote (about 30 minutes) You will complete surveys regarding your mood and behavior. *There will be an optional second MRI at the 3-month visit.

Are you 20 weeks pregnant or later and receiving care and delivering at UPMC Magee Womens Hospital? You may be eligible to participate in a research study to improve early detection and management of conditions like preterm preeclampsia and intrauterine growth restriction. Compensation is provided.
