Monitoring Patients with Parkinson’s Disease Using Gamma-glutamyl cysteine Supplementation

About this study

Have you recently been diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease? You may be eligible for a research study investigating how the antioxidant, gamma-glutamylcysteine (GGC), affects brain health, motor function, oxidative stress and cognitive function. Participation includes MRI scans, cognitive testing, and blood and stool analysis to assess changes over time. Compensation is provided.

What you’ll do

12 month commitment of GGC 2 times a day Two in person visits to UPMC Presbyterian Provide blood and stool samples at each visit Complete neuropsychological tests at baseline and the 12 month follow-up
