About this study
Are you a physically active woman between the ages of 18-40 and interested in military training programs? You may be eligible to participate in a research study to determine the bone density, structure and strength adaptations that result from various exercise programs. Compensation is provided.
What you’ll do
This study will occur over about 6 weeks. It will begin with a one-week monitoring period, followed by either a ~4-week monitoring period or a 4-week training period. The 4-week monitoring period you will be asked to maintain your normal diet and physical activity. The 4-week training period will consist of 4 weeks of supervised simulated military training in which your food and hydration will be provided. This supervised program will occur Monday-Friday with structured rest days on Saturday and Sundays. Training will last for the duration of four weeks with 2.5-3.5 hour morning and evening sessions on each weekday.

Are you overweight or obese? You may be eligible for a research study looking at how exercise can improve your heart health. Participants will receive a personalized exercise program you will be monitored by a trained exercise specialist. Compensation provided.
Are you a physically active man between the ages of 18-40 and interested in military training programs? You may be eligible to participate in a research study to determine the bone density, structure and strength adaptations that result from various exercise programs. Compensation is provided.
Do you ruck or hike? This study is looking for 18–40-year-olds with backpacking and/or tactical experience for a research study to understand the factors associated with fatigue and recovery from repeated load carriage. Participation involves carrying a rucksack for approximately 90 min, physical performance and metabolic testing, body composition scans and blood draws. Compensation is provided.
