About this study
This research study will be investigating how the human body responds to four different challenges: sugar, exercise, fasting, and a steroid. Participation includes a screening visit and 4 additional study visits where the participant will undergo blood draws through an IV line and measurement of resting energy expenditure. Compensation is provided.

Do you have Single-Sided Deafness? You may be eligible for a research study to investigate how the length of time a person has Single-Sided Deafness (SSD) can influence how their brain adjusts to a cochlear implant and how this impacts how well a person can hear both sound and human speech.
