Have you had a recent injury that required a fasciotomy (a surgical procedure where the fascia, the tough connective tissue that surrounds muscles, is cut to relieve pressure)? Are you willing to be assigned by chance to one of two reconstructive treatments, either a standard of care (SOC) surgery, or an SOC surgery plus a graft of your own fat? You may be eligible for a research study.
Your study participation will last approximately 9 months, after your surgery. The study is assessing the effect of a surgical intervention, using your own harvested fat, gathered through liposuction.

12-18 months
Are you 65 years of age or older and have difficulty walking? You may be eligible for a research study to evaluate the effectiveness of a brief strength training program. Participants will be assigned to either a brief strength training program (immediately) or a delayed-treatment group that will start in a year. Participation also involves 3 visits to test your physical performance and balance.
